What Tana is
Tana is an online database and archive of physical games. Information includes the platform, year, label, variants, region, and more.
As the headline suggests, the shelf that knows the difference, Tana distinguishes itself from other game collection apps by being focused on region and variant accuracy. For example, is your copy of Mario 64 a North American version, or a Japanese version with Rumble Pak? These are the kinds of precise records you can digitally store and share with Tana.
Tana is completely free to use, and data is presented by CC BY-SA 4.0. The app is run by NLKB Consulting Co., Ltd., an Okayama-based company.
Tana is only affiliated with GamingJapanese.com in terms of ownership, however Tana’s purpose and goals remain completely independent.
